Assistant Principal
Dear Hemmerling Community,
My name is Kandice Trammell and I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal at Hemmerling Elementary. I have been a part of this wonderful school community for the past eleven years and I look forward to partnering with our families, our extremely dedicated staff, and most importantly, our amazing students, as we embark on another exciting school year.
I have been in education for over 13 years, serving the Banning community as a teacher, an instructional coach, and now as an Assistant Principal. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my Master's Degree in Education at National University.
This year's district-wide theme is "We Are Banning" and I truly feel that I represent the theme well. I am proud to say that I am a lifelong Banning resident and a graduate of Banning High School. My family has lived here for over 80 years and I attended Hemmerling Elementary as a child myself. Our community means a lot to me and I am honored to have the opportunity to help work alongside our principal, Mrs. Gutierrez, to support this school.
At Hemmerling we are dedicated to creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As Assistant Principal, I am committed to:
Student Success: Ensuring that every student receives the support they need to reach their full potential.
Community Engagement: Building strong, collaborative relationships with families to enhance our students' educational experience.
Safe and Inclusive Environment: Promoting a school culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, where every student feels respected and valued.
I believe that open communication and partnership between school and home are key to a successful educational experience. I encourage you to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have. Your insights and feedback are invaluable as we strive to make Hemmerling School an exceptional place for learning and growth. I am eager to meet you and your children as we embark on this exciting new school year together. Please feel free to reach out to me at anytime by email (ktrammell@banning.k12.ca.us) or phone (951-922-0254).
I look forward to a fantastic year ahead filled with learning, growth, and achievement.
Warmest regards,
Assistant Principal Kandice Trammell
