Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you have all been well. After much movement, the concert has been moved to December 15 th , 2023 at 6pm. Call time for all students is 5pm. This movement of dates have been to accommodate all schools and events. The last two dates conflicted with meetings and events from different schools and the district. We thank you for your patience and understanding.
Rehearsal for Elementary Orchestra Students (Violin, Viola, Cello, and Bass) will be on Friday, December 15 th , at 4:30pm and will just continue until concert time. I understand this is a bit more. However, I would like to meet with them before the concert and work altogether. They can come ready to go and rehearse altogether. I want to extend a sincere apology as I have had some difficult weeks. From personal family issues to my mother being critically sick. The year has not been easy for me. However, my students are extremely important to me and I will always give my 110% as much as possible. It has been difficult, but I will want to continue well for my students. Please understand, that I am working to make everything well for all students. All students will still dress the same as the last two letters. We will work diligently to make this smoother and better next time around. Our sincerest apologies. We look forward to an amazing concert with all the students. Meet Marcus McInerney, Security Officer II at Banning High School. Marcus shared the following: A few of my hobbies include writing, which I indulge in by writing fan fiction on forum sites i.e. Across the Stars (Star Wars) and Forgotten Realms (D&D), as well as Reading, from the lengthy Star Wars library (Canon and Legends/EU) to the Legend of Drizzt Saga and of course the Black Library (Warhammer 40K). I have to mention my love for Audiobooks/Podcasts too! Above all others I have a love for Theatre, and have been in over 20+ productions including Musicals, Plays, and Dance Recitals!
I love working here because the Staff are just plain awesome, making my work days much less stressful than they might otherwise be, and because the students and community of Banning are truly amazing. The sports teams the High Schools produces are all warriors, the Clubs are always engaging, and their Theatre department is exceptional, no bias included! This is the Way! Most importantly I know that we Security are appreciated and I know you’ll understand what I mean when I say you won’t find that everywhere.

The Banning HS Student-Athlete of the Week is Caxery Mendoza. She plays soccer, and Coach Adrian says, "Caxery has been instrumental on the field and a force to be reckoned with. Her ability to find the back of the net these past two games has been astounding. She currently has nine goals and one assist with back-to-back hat-tricks so far. A task that hasn't been done in girls' soccer history." Well done Caxery! #BanningUSD

The Student Services Department hosted a special field trip for our students called Polar Express! Students were able to participate in fun crafts, make holiday themed treats, get a toy and meet Santa! The energy in the room was incredible! Well done, students & staff!
