The Banning Library District is hosting a workshop called, "Is That Healthy? How to Make Better Options" with Nutritionist Shafiqa Love.
If you are interested, the workshop is on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 11am-12pm in the Children's Room. See the flyer for more details!
Meet Christina Avila, Paraeducator at Hemmerling Elementary School. She has four children, two of which go to Hemmerling. Her family loves to be active in the community by playing sports, they are involved with their church and also enjoy going to the park. Simply having fun and being active is their family motto.Christina loves spreading joy because she thinks that our world could use as much kindness as possible! Christina chose #BanningUSD because she loves working with the staff not just at her own site, but all sites have amazing people! What began as wanting to help at the school her children attend, led her to a full time job. Christina says, "Watching the kids learn and start to get the lesson or learn how to read is my favorite. It’s the a-ha moment that brings me joy. Plus all the fun activities we do is my joy."

This email is to inform you of the new communication platform for Banning USD. Your Rooms account will allow you to communicate with your child’s teachers. If you have not already done so, please check your email for a message labeled Banning Unified School District is inviting you to claim your Rooms account and activate your account. Below is a sample of the email that was sent. If you need assistance activating your account, you can reach out to Anna Torres at Education Services (951) 922-0218 or you can come by this week during the office hours listed below. Hello Parents and Guardians,
My name is Andres Keymolent and I am the Orchestra Director at Banning Unified School District. I hope you are all doing well and ready for orchestra to start.
First thing, I do apologize for not having some clear information. I have been trying to figure our new website and app to send messages and have been unsuccessful. I think we have finally figured out the communications on the app for me.
Orchestra will begin next week, the week of the 25th. The Week of 09/25/2023 will have all four schools begin orchestra. The schedule will be:
Monday: Hemmerling at 10am
Tuesday: Hoffer at 10am
Thursday: Central at 10am
Friday: Cabazon at 10am
This will be the schedule of the elementary schools throughout the school year. All students should bring their instruments at their respective days. Students should bring all materials for class each week at their respective days.
Please note, if the students do not have instruments, they are still encouraged to attend. We have three vendors for students and parents/guardians to rent instruments. They are Beaumont Music Center, Nick Rail, and Bertrand’s Music.
